Segment-Based Humanization

Segment humanization allows you to target specific passages of your content that need improvement, while leaving already-natural sections untouched.

When to Use Segment Humanization

Targeted Fixes

Best for:

  • Content that's mostly natural with a few AI patterns
  • Specific passages flagged by the analyzer
  • When you don't want to change the whole article

After Analysis

Segment humanization works with the analyzer:

  1. Run analysis to identify specific issues
  2. Review flagged passages
  3. Humanize only the problematic segments

Accessing Segment Humanization

Method 1: From Analyzer Issues

  1. Run the Humanization Analyzer
  2. Scroll to the identified issues list
  3. Click on an issue to expand it
  4. Click Humanize This Segment
  5. The segment is processed and replaced

Method 2: Through Selection (Coming Soon)

  1. Select text in the editor
  2. Choose Humanize Selection from the menu
  3. Selected text is processed
  4. Humanized version replaces original

How Segment Humanization Works

Isolated Processing

Unlike full humanization:

  • Only the specific passage is processed
  • Surrounding content is untouched
  • Context is considered for coherence

Focused Improvement

The segment is:

  • Analyzed for AI patterns
  • Rewritten naturally
  • Made to flow with surrounding text
  • Replaced in your document

Working with Identified Segments

Issue Severity

Issues are rated by severity:

  • High — Very obvious AI patterns
  • Medium — Noticeable but less critical
  • Low — Minor issues

Prioritize high-severity issues first.

Expanding Issues

Click an issue to see:

  • The full flagged text
  • Explanation of why it was flagged
  • The Humanize This Segment button

Highlighting in Editor

When you expand an issue:

  • The passage is highlighted in your content
  • Easy to see exactly what will change
  • Provides context for the issue

After Humanizing a Segment

Visual Feedback

The newly humanized segment:

  • Appears highlighted in green
  • Shows the transformation was applied
  • Blends with surrounding content

Issue Resolution

After humanizing:

  • The issue is marked as addressed
  • Overall score recalculates
  • Other issues remain for you to address

Continue Editing

You can:

  • Address the next issue
  • Make manual adjustments
  • Move to other editing tasks

Best Practices

Work Through Issues Systematically

  1. Start with high-severity issues
  2. Move to medium, then low
  3. Re-analyze to find any remaining problems

Review Each Change

After each segment humanization:

  • Read the replacement
  • Ensure it flows with context
  • Verify meaning is preserved

Manual Touch-Up

Sometimes the best approach is:

  • Humanize the segment
  • Then manually fine-tune
  • Combine AI help with your judgment

When to Switch to Full Humanization

If you find yourself:

  • Humanizing most segments individually
  • Issues throughout the content
  • Spending too much time on segments

Consider using Full Content Humanization instead—it may be more efficient.
